The rooms were very clean and the staff professional. I stayed in June 2024 and had a great time. The hotel is in a quiet spot near Porta Savonarola, roughly a 15-minute walk from the city center. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was essential in the summer heat.

We were given a free room upgrade, and the room was spacious and clean for the price, though the window view wasn't nice. The location worked if you just need somewhere to sleep, and the center is an easy walk away. Breakfast wasn't a strong point, with very few choices. Service was generally good, but one receptionist booked us a taxi to the wrong airport on departure day. We made it to the right one in time, but it cost us 95 Euros extra. They seemed inexperienced handling that and should know the risk.

Renovation was going on, and the area in front of the hotel was under construction too. Unfortunately I got one of the old-fashioned rooms :(

The AC was clearly having problems. Our room was almost 90 degrees, so we moved down the hall, where it was still 80. On the second night we switched to a third room, which still wasn't exactly cool. The whole hall had to be moved. They were easygoing about changing rooms, though, so don't accept one if it doesn't feel properly cool when you walk in.

It’s fairly cheap and close to the city, but the place feels a bit dated. Breakfast was dull, and they ran out of butter on the first day, with none at all on the second. Maybe you get what you pay for. I’m not sure I’d stay again.
