We ended up adding another night to our walking trip, which says a lot about how well the stay worked for us. In October, during the off season, we were the only hotel guests, though the busy bar was clearly a social hub for the small town. The two brothers run this pleasant family hotel. They spoke slowly and carefully in Italian so we English guests could follow, which we appreciated. One brother cooked dinner and the other served it. There was no printed menu, just three choices per course described to us, and the food came quickly and tasted great. Update: eBikes are no longer available to rent here, but the Tourist Information office offers them.

The atmosphere was good, and they were friendly. They even made us lunch after the kitchen had closed.

We had lunch there on Sunday during a vintage car gathering. The table service was attentive, but the rest was badly handled. The starters were industrial, the wine was poor, and the roast with reheated potatoes was practically inedible. With such a large group paying 30 euros per person, it felt like all the effort went into saving money. A terrible impression, and surely not good publicity for the place. We’ll never come back.

The owners were very friendly, and the hotel was simple, clean, and in a great location. We liked the pizzas, and the tiramisu and pistachio ice cream were excellent.

It’s not the newest hotel, but it’s kept in great shape. We got a lovely, friendly family welcome, and the owner was really nice. The pizzas are very good too. I recommend this place a thousand times over.
