The setting was stunning, but I expected something more like a hearty aperitivo. The meals were plain and didn't feel special for the price. We had to ask for grated cheese for the pasta because there were no condiments on the table, and they brought out just one instead of putting some out for all our guests. The cake looked gorgeous, though most of it was icing.

We love the area and the people have been so lovely. When there was no kettle in our apartment at first, they even bought us one. The views are spectacular, and the restaurant serves unusual, excellent food, including lovely pizza. We’re staying in the hotel for one night on Saturday, and the staff are very nice. It has air conditioning and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Apartment 13, though, feels worn out and needs renovating. Since it's a wedding venue, Friday and Saturday nights can mean loud music, and sometimes fireworks. I was also very sorry to hear that the other apartment was burgled last night. There are no safes in the apartments or hotel rooms, so be careful about what you leave there. The prices need watching too. Their booking website showed €700, but the owner/manager now wants €800 for the apartment, plus €80 for two people to stay in a hotel room for one night. I'll point it out when I pay the final bill.

The food was excellent and very reasonably priced, and everyone was friendly and helpful. We spent two days enjoying the pool, the peaceful surroundings and the lovely view across the Tuscan countryside. Definitely recommend it!

Every bite was a delight, honestly some of the best food ever! We arrived without a booking while a wedding was underway, and they still found room for us. Do go!

Check first to see if a wedding party is planned. There was one during our stay, with very loud music and noise all evening and through the night until 2 am. We couldn't sleep at all.
