You’ll need a car to get here, but I’d gladly make the trip again and stay longer. It’s a quiet spot surrounded by nature, with lots of space, a pool, and a barbecue. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s even a very sweet, friendly cat. The sunrise and sunset views were amazing. Getting up at 6 a.m. to catch one was worth it. Highly recommend.

Montemari was a great place to unwind, hike, and cycle. The kids had room to run around and play. It was too cold for swimming during our stay, so I can’t comment on the pool. Our apartment was nicely equipped, though it helps to remember this is an agriturismo. They make their own wine and olive oil, both worth a taste. The local roads are lovely for walking or cycling, but you’ll need a car to get to restaurants or grocery stores. It’s a great location, with Pisa and Livorno relatively close. One warning: don’t bring a low sports car on those roads. Don’t ask how I know.
