We booked in September, and the owner was consistently polite and quick to answer our questions. The garden was well kept, and the beach was just a short walk away. But the strong cleaning-product smell was unpleasant, and reed diffusers only covered it up with an even stronger scent. The photos don’t show that the apartment is in a complex that has clearly seen better days. The bedroom door opens onto a dirty underpass with rat traps, so it isn’t useful for ventilation. We think the 8.9 Booking.com rating is much too high, and €800 for September isn’t justified. There are cheaper places on the island with better quality. We didn’t spend a single night there and immediately found somewhere else to stay.
