Hotel Terrazzo D'Abruzzo

I had the chance to stay here with my whole family: my wife and children, my mother, and my sister, her husband, and their daughter. The rooms were spacious and clean, the restaurant was excellent, and the owner was a great host. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was frankly indecent: the precooked croissants were rubbery and inedible. The building is very dated, the bathroom isn't suited to guests, the water kept cutting in and out, the shower was terrible, and the TV didn't work. I don't know where to begin describing the place and service, since the basics are missing. Honestly, for what we paid, it was practically a gift. I absolutely don't recommend it. You'll leave really angry.

I'm sorry to write this, but I hope it helps the hotel improve. We're a couple in our thirties, and this is based on the standards we're used to. The place has potential, but right now I wouldn't return. It's clean, though very old and a little shabby. There seems to be no staff besides the very welcoming owner, who handles reception, bartending, and serving. Dinner menus and ingredient quality need a rethink. Better to keep it simple and do it well. Breakfast is basic, not hotel-style. One suggestion: have a local grandmother make the tart instead of buying it at Eurospin. Prices are definitely high for what's offered, and the hotel's three-star rating doesn't reflect the reality.

We had a weekend stay with half-board. The room and the rest of the hotel were clean and tidy, and both breakfast and dinner were really well prepared. Service was excellent. It's in a great spot for getting to Roccaraso/Aremogna to ski.
