There was some street noise, but shutting the door and switching on the A/C helped. Otherwise the room was really large and clean, and Alessandro was a very good host. The location is excellent: Palermo Centrale Station is just 5 minutes away, central streets are within a 5-minute walk, and Lidl is also a 5-minute walk. I think it's one of the best places to stay in Palermo.

The owner was so friendly, and the clean, comfortable place had a great atmosphere. I loved staying here and would highly recommend it.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but as two women staying here, we felt unsafe and the place wasn't represented honestly. I asked the owner for photos of the entrance and street, but what I was sent was BS. I still don't know where that street photo was taken. The room was small, which is normal for Europe, but it looked onto an abandoned courtyard beside an empty, abandoned building with broken windows. Inside the accommodation felt safer, but getting there was awful: you climb through a tiny street door and over debris, so don't wear nice shoes or an outfit. The entrance smelled of piss and damp, and it's shared with the abandoned building. Coming back late felt dark and creepy, and getting upstairs was sketchy. There was loud music, too. The manager was intense, cranky and moody. We never got the breakfast shown in the website photos, just wrapped crackers and low-grade coffee. I guess you get what you pay for, though there are other similarly priced places in Palermo with much better value. Palermo itself is beautiful, so visit and enjoy it, just not here. This is my opinion, not meant with malice or prejudice.

Alessandro was happy to welcome us to his wonderful B&B. He's a very nice man, and greeted us with fresh lemonade and a glass of red wine. We had a good chat about what Palermo has to offer.
