Ballaro Guest House

Andrea was a kind, helpful host, and the rooms were large and nicely decorated. The place has been newly furnished. In the kitchen there was fresh juice, yogurt and crackers for guests, plus coffee and tea anytime, and freshly baked croissants in the morning. The location is right in the city center, close to the station and a bus stop. We had a very pleasant stay.

Andrea, thanks for being such a welcoming host. The fresh homemade breakfasts he prepared each morning were delicious. Our room was roomy, with an interesting style, a clean bathroom and a comfortable bed. The hotel is right by the Railway and Bus Station. From there, Via Maqueda leads toward Quattro Canti and the center, while Mercato Ballaro begins just around the other corner. What more could you ask for?

We stayed three nights in July, and the staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast each morning was a treat. Our room was clean, bright with natural light, and had air conditioning, plus a very nice brand-new bathroom. The guest house is in the historic part of town, surrounded by culture and good food, and only a three-minute walk from the train station. From there you can get an airport bus or a train to Cefalu. I'd happily recommend Ballaro guest house.

There was a bit of street noise late at night, though it wasn't too loud. The bed had a memory foam mattress, which I usually like less than a traditional spring one, but it was still comfortable and only a little warm. The guest house is near the train station and an open food market, and about a ten-minute walk from the old town.
