Vado al Massimo

We felt like locals for a while, right in the heart of Palermo. From the third floor, the street sounds were there but softened by the height. The old apartment building had tall rooms and a view of the street, its dingy facades, and laundry hanging from balconies. We took the historic elevator down, then walked a few hundred steps to the steps of the Massimo Theater. I recommend it!

The location is very good, but the elevator wasn’t working, so we had to haul our suitcases up three floors. The bathroom was very old, the towels were rather shabby and stained, and the mattresses were very worn. I don’t recommend it at all.

We had WiFi, a clean bathroom, and a nice room. Breakfast is available in the morning if you want it. The hosts were wonderful and incredibly generous. Everything was perfect, and I’d definitely book the apartment again. Grazie per l'ospitalità 🥳🙏.

The owners were helpful whenever we had questions, and breakfast had a good selection of different foods. The room on the fourth floor, first door on the left, was spacious and had a small outdoor area. It’s a nice place in central Palermo, with free public parking in front if there’s a space. We’d come back.
