The staff were great, and check-in went smoothly. The room was clean and just right, though a little small. Since the property is right in the center, it was easy to get around on foot. Otherwise, everything was fine.

I never even got to see the rental offered on September 7, 2025, in Santa Sofia - Castellammare Vucciria - Palermo. Despite asking for and receiving a deposit by bank transfer, the place wasn't available when we were due to stay, from September 26-September 30, 2025, because other guests were already there. In technical terms, it was "overbooked". We pushed for accommodation that suited our needs, especially since it was pouring rain in Palermo on the evening of the 26th. They offered us rooms at other places for two nights, with the wrong address and location, then said we could return to the place we had booked for the final two nights. We only found our way there after contacting the new landlord. On Sunday, when we were meant to go back to Via Santa Sofia, the manager of the Bonorim B&B told us to go to another property they manage, described as the one on Via Catania, even farther from the area we had chosen. I refused to waste time moving again and to go farther from the historic center, and asked to finish our "vacation" where we were already staying. It was a terrible experience. This manager's UNRELIABILITY will make us think twice about our future choices.

The air conditioning kept clicking through the night and woke me several times. The bed in our deluxe room also creaked ridiculously, and the bathroom tap leaked around its base. Pillows were uncomfortable, the TV was tiny, and you could hear people in the corridor talking and walking from 7 a.m. It felt more like a dorm than a hotel. Most things were fine, but basic comforts were missing. I hate leaving a bad review and rarely do, but the lower price doesn't make up for all the missing amenities. We paid more than twice what I'd consider fair. I'd have paid 25 euros at most. Never again.

The only real positive was the location. We barely slept over four long nights, and wouldn't recommend staying here. There was loud music next door at night, and I had to get up and knock on the neighboring guest's door to ask them to turn it down. The refrigerator was so noisy we had to switch it off every night. The cleaner was friendly, but spoke loudly on her phone while working and woke us on the first morning while arguing on a call. Smoke smell was strong in both the rooms and hallway at all hours. I'm a smoker and noticed it immediately, though you might choose to put up with it. The bed was torn, the headboard broken, and everything creaked with the slightest movement. Some pillows had no cases, a few were dirty, and two of the three were cut open with sponge showing. The sheets seemed clean, though they didn't smell fresh. The building may be old, but the broken windows with poor sound insulation meant we could hear everything day and night. This is a rooming house, not a B&B, but that was the least of the problems.
