Staying at Palazzo Conte Federico is a real treat. They make you feel genuinely welcome, offer recommendations and advice, and the rooms are comfortable and spotless. The location is second to none, quiet and secluded but only minutes from the Duomo and Palazzo Normanii. I know Palermo well, and I completely disagree with what the review below says about the surrounding area. This is one of the safest, most welcoming parts of town. Neither my wife nor I have ever felt uncomfortable there, day or night. Go!

Access to the Ballaro market was great, and I enjoyed cooking some of the excellent produce in the apartment kitchen. The stay was clean, comfortable, and very central. Some edges of the area are a bit rough, but that’s part of Palermo’s charm. I always felt safe, even protected by the locals.

Matteo was incredibly helpful and arranged the ZTL pass, which is essential if you’re driving in the central district. Palazzo Conte Federico is perfectly placed for exploring Palermo’s historic center. We really enjoyed our short stay in the apartment, and it was very quiet during our weekday visit. We’ll definitely return.

The apartment was a good size and had all the amenities, though it was short on toiletries. It’s well located, within walking distance of the cathedral and the main pedestrian shopping street.
