Gebel Grin

We keep talking about going back to Gebel Grin for a third visit. My wife and I stayed for the first two weeks of September, after a similar stay in September 2022. We don't usually return to the same place, but there's something magical about it. It's a distinctive penthouse, reasonably priced, scrupulously clean, and very well equipped. The secure, purpose-built building has a janitor, and sits in an up-market part of Palermo, with several bus routes and excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Then there's the private L-shaped terrace, with wonderful views, sunny and shaded spots, and all the tables and chairs you'd need for relaxing or dining. On a warm evening with a glass of Grillo, it really feels like living the high life. We can't recommend Gebel Grin enough. It's special, and we'll return.

The hosts were so welcoming and really made an effort to make us comfortable. There's a supermarket right outside, and buses nearby can get you to the center or Mondello beach in under 30 minutes. The place is spacious, comfortable, clean, and well equipped, with a very comfortable bed and a huge terrace. A truly lovely stay.

Palermo means Gebel Grin to us. We've spent holidays here for years and it feels like a second home. Lucrezia and Fulvio are wonderful, caring hosts, and we're endlessly grateful to them. The apartment is new and spotless, bright from all the sliding French windows, and has air conditioning. Bruno Barbieri would surely approve. From the top floor, with an elevator, there's a huge terrace overlooking the Parco della Favorita. Everything is close by downstairs, including the Conad supermarket and IMPERATORE FEDERICO metro station. Several bus stops are nearby too, with buses to Mondello every 10 minutes.

From the property's panoramic terrace, you can look out over the golf course at the historic Villa Airoldi and the broad green grounds of Club Mediterraneo. It has every comfort, with Monte Pellegrino in view and Utveggi Castle standing above it.
