The breakfast was a highlight, with freshly cooked eggs, bruschetta, Sicilian tarallucci, and pistacchio croissant-like donuts. I’m not usually a morning person, but I looked forward to getting up for it. The staff also went out of their way to make my Palermo trip everything I’d hoped for. I’ve stayed in fine hotels across around eighty countries, and Il Giardino di Ballarò Boutique Hotel is now one of my favorites anywhere. I usually don’t revisit cities, but I’m planning a return to Palermo just to stay at this peaceful little oasis again. I stayed in several rooms during my extended visit, so I got to see different sizes and categories. Each felt cozy and distinctive. The suite had a beautiful high ceiling with white wooden beams, and the attic room had a clever skylight that opened by remote and closed automatically when it rained. The beds and bedding were so comfy, like a giant hug, and made for deep, relaxing sleep. The location is walkable to the main sights through a beautiful park, while sitting a little away from the tourist bustle. From the thoughtful, stylish design to the calm atmosphere and warm hospitality, this locally owned hotel felt like a work of art. I knew I was in the right place as soon as I stepped into the welcoming lobby. The staff greeted me graciously even though I’d accidentally arrived a day early. It felt like home away from home, and just how travel should be, considerate, intimate, and easy.

Breakfast was a treat each morning, served in a gorgeous dining room, and there were pastries and drinks waiting in the warm, beautiful lobby. We spent three days in Palermo and found the B&B so welcoming and accommodating. Our lovely room had every amenity we needed. I’d happily recommend this place to anyone.

The decor is beautiful and artistic, and staying here feels more like being welcomed into someone’s home than checking into a standard hotel or B&B. The staff are professional, capable, polite, and genuinely attentive. It’s also in an ideal spot for exploring Palermo. I’d definitely recommend it.

From sorting out transportation to lending us an umbrella when the rain came, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and cozy, and breakfast was nice. Most of the main sights are an easy walk away. We had a lovely stay and I really recommend this place!

We found the old city easy to explore on foot from this central spot. The staff were amazing and always ready to help. Our room was comfortable, and breakfast was great. We had a wonderful stay.
