Il Quadrifoglio Room&Suite

A warm, clean B&B with helpful staff and good value. It’s conveniently between Teatro Massimo and Piazza Politeama, and the major sights are within walking distance. The shower was a little small, and the balcony didn’t offer much of a view, but the location is great.

We spent three days in Palermo on our second Sicily holiday, after visiting the south of the island and Tropea, Calabria. We got in from the airport in the late afternoon and walked about 500m from Piazza Ruggiero Settimo (Politeama). It’s a decent, clean place with good service, an okay breakfast, and a nice room with a street view. I think there are 7 rooms, with 3 or 4 looking onto the courtyard. The street is typically Palermo, very narrow, but you’re close to almost everything. I felt the price was fair for what we got.

The position is very good, though the place itself wasn’t the best.

We heard noise carrying through the building, which makes sense in such a busy part of town. The room and suite at Il quadricoglio were very clean and laid out well. The owner met us when we arrived and was pleasant and helpful with our questions. There was a small balcony, and the bathroom came with towels and a hair dryer. The desk was arranged conveniently in the room, and the building has a working elevator for larger bags.
