La Casetta di Mavi

Breakfast isn't included, so you'll need to prepare your own. There's a small kitchen with equipment if you're staying longer. The place is affordable, quiet, and well insulated, with comfortable bedding and efficient air conditioning. Our room was clean and nearly brand new, though the shower had a broken bar and door handle. The entrance faces a lovely little square away from the main road, so it's peaceful. The owner was friendly and understanding when Avis took a long time to hand over our rental car at the airport. We got there at 9:30 pm instead of the planned 8:00 pm. There are three bedrooms available, and we recommend the rental 😉

The keys are on a padlock system and have to stay inserted to keep the electricity on. That meant one of us couldn't stay in the room to sleep or watch TV while the other went out with the key. The apartment itself was tidy, attractive, and well equipped. We came in December, and the heating on the air conditioning didn't work. My wife is pregnant, and we were freezing. When we told the owner, he came by and insisted the unit worked. It did turn on, but it wouldn't heat. I later found other reviews describing the same issue a year earlier, along with the owner telling people they didn't know how to operate it. He'd had a year to repair it and hadn't. He offered extra blankets, but no heater to replace the faulty heating. We felt cheated. His attempt to switch on the heating after we contacted him seemed like a way to distract us from the fault and make us believe the system was working. We understand that appliances can break, but it felt deliberate to conceal the problem.

The rooms were clean and kept in good shape. The owner was friendly and extremely helpful. I'd highly recommend it!

La Casetta di Mavi was lovely and full of charm, and the room was wonderful. The bed, pillows, and duvet were warm and comfortable, while all the little touches made it feel restful and easy. The owner's personal care was exceptional. We arrived so tired that we forgot to take room photos, but it was perfect. Nearby services and transport were convenient. We'd return without hesitation. Thank you so much to La Casetta di Mavi!!
