Luca's Rooms were comfortable, and the owner was kind and helpful right from the start. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The B&B is about a 15-minute drive from Palermo's historic center, so it's a good place to stay.

The owner was warm and went out of his way to arrange a proper gluten-free breakfast for my celiac wife. There was a good range of food in the spacious breakfast room, plus a separate relaxation and smoking room. Our central apartment was roomy, well equipped, very clean, and comfortable. My room even had a whirlpool tub. We'd gladly return.

The apartment is in an elegant building, in a pleasant neighborhood about a 30-40 minute walk from the center. Notarbartolo station is nearby, with trains to the airport taking about 30 minutes for €6 and to the central station in 20 minutes for €1.70. Buses run frequently from there day and night, with tickets at €1.40 for 90 minutes or €3.50 for a day. If you have a car, free parking is easy to find nearby. Our room had its own bathroom, which was very spacious, though the mirror lighting wasn't great for putting on makeup. The tasteful furnishings were practical, and the apartment was spotless, with daily cleaning. Gianfranco, the host, was especially kind and accommodating. He arranged traditional breakfast items for us and made an arrangement with a local pastry shop.

I wasn't sure about booking a room with a separate bathroom, but it turned out to be very comfortable. The place was clean and carefully looked after, with modern decor. The owner was really kind and helpful. I'd come back.
