Liberty Luxury Rooms

The breakfast was mediocre and not worth getting out of bed for. There was only one kind of cereal, no other cold cuts or cheeses, and just an apple, a peach, and six grapes for two people. The rundown area leading to the parking lot was horrible. The rooms were clean, though, and the pool area was lovely. Rajul was friendly, accommodating, and professional. There was also a lovely cat living there.

We’d definitely come back. It’s a peaceful little oasis in the middle of a former fishing village, with a fantastic sea view. The garden is shady and well cared for, with big trees and lots of places to sit. The area isn’t very touristy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. In the evenings, people from a local club often play Sicilian cards quietly and with real concentration. Our room was clean and nicely furnished, with a kettle, small fridge, and air conditioning that worked well. The coffee was excellent and breakfast was good. A supermarket and bus stops are an easy walk away, and buses run regularly until about 9 pm. The hotel arranged an airport transfer for us, which was very helpful.

Antonio was our main contact, and he’s a sweet, sociable man who takes good care of guests. The room was tidy and spacious, with a decent bathroom and air conditioning that worked well. The coffee was delicious, the staff friendly, and the service good. Breakfast was okay, though nothing special. The B&B itself is very nice, but its location wasn’t quite what we expected from the description. You can see the sea, but it’s as littered as the area around the B&B. Getting to the parking spot in the alley behind the building was a challenge. The lane was lined with abandoned buildings and looked like a garbage dump, with mattresses and other rubbish and broken things scattered around. Smoking is allowed in some "card" rooms, and you can smell it in the shared areas, thankfully not in our room. A car is a good idea if you want to reach the city center. Public transport only runs until around 8 or 9 PM.
