A small, chic boutique B&B that also serves as an art and cultural space.

The staff were great, but the place itself wasn't good. Don't go by the pictures.

The staff are what really made this place worth five stars. They're kind, attentive, happy to help with requests, and have great suggestions for things to see and places to eat. The rooms were clean and lovely, with comfortable beds, and the place is quiet. It's a beautiful, distinctive spot devoted to the arts, very close to the central train station, so getting around the city is easy. There's no elevator, and the stairs to each floor are very steep. If you have a problem, though, just call and they'll gladly help. I'd come back, though it's a little pricey compared with the average B&B in town.

The shower was cramped, and the modern shower head couldn't be fixed to the wall. Washing long hair was difficult. They also didn't say where to find the blankets, which weren't on the bed in mid-October. The Wi-Fi was so bad we didn't use it. We could pick from the two rooms still available, though they were much alike. The room itself was okay and had been renovated, but its decor was minimal, fitting its setting in an art gallery. City noise was well blocked. The receptionist was friendly. The building's exterior was a bit of a shock, like something from the Third World, while inside it was just okay.
