Palazzo Arone dei Baroni di Valentino

The owners are so warm and caring, and always go out of their way to make us feel at home. We’ve stayed at Palazzo Arone di Valentino many times, and every visit has been fantastic. There’s so much charm, history, and elegance in the palazzo, and it captures the spirit and beauty of Palermo. The care put into preserving it is clear. Staying there feels like experiencing a piece of Sicilian history. It’s a real gem in the heart of the city and a wonderful base for exploring Palermo. We can’t recommend it highly enough, and we’re already looking forward to going back.

We chose the two bedroom apartment because we were three women traveling on our own in Sicily for the first time, and wanted a place where we’d feel safe with two full bathrooms. The apartment gave us a rare look at Palermo’s aristocratic past and its breathtaking architecture. We kept saying the palace had found us. Such a hidden gem, and it exceeded every expectation. The staff took care of us personally every day, with a level of gracious service I don’t think I’ve had at any Five Star Hotel. Our hosts were welcoming and knew so much about the palace’s history and its place in Palermo’s cultural heritage. They helped with whatever information, guidance, or other support we needed during our stay. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Palermo.

I came to Palermo with friends for a birthday and had the most fabulous stay at Palazzo Arone. Federica helped me put together a dream celebration, and the private dinner they arranged for us was one of the weekend’s highlights. The service was flawless and the hospitality so warm. It felt like a dream come true. Every room was beautiful, especially the suite, one of the loveliest I’ve ever stayed in. I can’t imagine choosing anywhere else when I return to Palermo.

Breakfast was delicious, all homemade in the palace, and served in a cozy dining room where guests could chat. We loved trading stories and tips with everyone. My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon, and the room and location were perfect. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. If you need to park, the concierge coordinates with a nearby garage to make leaving and collecting the car easy. I can’t recommend the palace enough. We hope to come back.
