Palazzo del Poeta - Dimora Contemporanea

Rosa has clearly put a lot of love into restoring this place, and she’s done an incredible job. Our room was so spacious it felt more like a suite. Palazzo del Poeta is right in the heart of Palermo, with an easy walk to restaurants, the City Wall, the outdoor fish market and just about everything else. The breakfast room is beautiful, the breakfast was great, and the staff were helpful and really nice. As soon as you walk in, the calm, peaceful, almost poetic feeling is hard to miss.

The hotel is in a handy spot for buses and close to mini markets. Breakfast was included, with lots of variety, and there were coffee and snacks available all day. The staff paid attention to what we needed, and were happy to answer questions and suggest restaurants. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There are lots of different rooms to explore, including hidden ones we kept discovering over several days, and a rooftop terrace worth checking out. Artwork and the general feel make this beautiful hotel a real gem in the heart of Palermo. We had a great stay and will definitely return. One thing that could be better: the rooms need mini-fridges to keep drinks cold in the hot summer months.

This is my favorite hotel in Palermo, and it really feels like a home away from home. The owner lovingly restored the once-dilapidated Palazzo over seven years, and it’s stunning. You can see the thought in all the details, from the decor and quality sheets to the generous breakfast pastries. Parking was easy, and all the sights are within an easy walk. Most of all, every guest is treated with real kindness and thoughtfulness.

I really enjoyed staying here. The room was much more spacious than I expected, with very high ceilings, which made a refreshing change from a typical hotel room. We were close to everything we did in Palermo. The service was kind and helpful, and we’ll definitely stay here again next time.
