The rooms are comfortable and roomy, just right for a place to rest, and the location between two major roads makes it easy to get around. You do hear some traffic. This doesn’t claim to be a five-star hotel, and for the price I doubt you’ll find better value in Palermo.

The palace is in a very convenient spot, but the decor felt tasteless. We’d booked a double room with air conditioning, but the AC didn’t work, so we had to request a room change. They moved us into a room with single beds instead. Breakfast was included in the price, but by the time we arrived at the dining room it was over, and there was very little to replenish it with. There were no glasses, cutlery, or napkins at the counter. We waited a long time, then got plastic glasses, no cutlery, and an undercooked croissant.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and nice, with a central location. But having only two toilets shared across my floor made showering uncomfortable.

The place was very dirty. There was no soap in the bathrooms, and I found someone’s fake fingernail on my room floor.
