Quintocanto Hotel and Spa

The location is really good, and the two young women and the gentleman at reception were friendly when we checked in. The man who helped with our luggage was cheerful and kind too. But we had a 3:30am airport shuttle booked, and the night-duty staff member was extremely rude and mean. He gave me three breakfast packs even though he'd seen me carrying a suitcase and handbag, then dropped one. The yogurt broke, and he walked away without saying anything. When we finished checking out I said thanks, but he again didn't respond. The hotel needs to train this employee and teach him some manners.

The hotel is perfectly located and the staff are phenomenal. Since it's in a ZTL area and we were arriving by car, staff were ready to meet us there and park the car. They brought it back whenever we needed it. We stayed here at both the start and end of our vacation, and each time they carried all our bags from the car to our room door. Great place.

The break-in happened while we were asleep: someone got into the room and took a purse containing cash and credit cards. The cards were later used unsuccessfully, and the hotel only recovered the change purse that had been inside. At first, the morning desk staff seemed unconcerned and didn’t apologize. Later, different staff members were unaware of the situation, apologized, and told me to file a police report so the hotel could review its security footage. I brought the report back to the same morning staff, who said they’d contact me after checking the footage. Eight days passed with no word from Quinticonto, so I’m posting this now. The rooms have a key-card entry lock but no deadbolt or interior security lock. I’d block the door if you stay here, for your safety. They did waive our parking charges, and the valet staff were friendly. Google Maps sends you along pedestrian streets, and the hotel staff weren’t helpful with directions to or from the property.

The central location was the one good thing. The room felt old and dingy, with Motel 6-level amenities and toiletries, and the place was dirty and smelled bad. Breakfast was disappointing, and the coffee machine was awful. For what we paid, I’m really let down by what the hotel promised, or at least suggested it would be.
