Our room was spacious and well equipped, with a comfortable bed, a large bathroom, and little balconies on both sides overlooking a small piazza. It’s up about 20 steps to the first floor, where there are three rooms. The shared kitchen for those rooms had a coffee machine and free pods, tea, and biscuits. Nearby, there’s a fish market and restaurant, plus plenty of cafes, bistros, and bars. The host was great: they sent clear directions from the airport and welcomed us in English to explain the room. The main problem was noise from outside each night, including motorbikes with custom exhausts, metal banging, perhaps from nearby shops, and what sounded like pumps and glass bottles being thrown away. That’s beyond the property’s control. The internet was slow too. Breakfast was served at a cafeteria 300 metres away. It was basic, just a coffee, a bottle of water, and one pastry, so we were hungry again after 30 minutes, though that wasn’t an issue with the service itself.

Our host was very kind and accommodating. The room was a great size, with a large bathroom, and the location was fantastic. The balcony looks out over a busy daytime market. Step out the front door in the afternoon and there’s a restaurant right across from you.

A little gem of a place with perfectly suitable breakfast. It’s right beside the market, which makes a handy alarm clock! The nice rooms are up a spiral staircase from street level.

Sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine, looking down at the old street and food market, was lovely. The owner was so friendly and even served and cooked breakfast himself. A great Palermo experience 😄

I left a piece of my heart in Palermo and will definitely return, and I already know where I’ll stay to feel at home again. B&B Reginella is right in the Capo market, a colourful, authentic part of the city. The people running it were exceptional hosts, always smiling, kind, and ready to help. My room was spotless, fresh-smelling, and had even more comforts than I expected. Breakfast comes with a voucher for a nearby café overlooking the magnificent Teatro Massimo, where we were welcomed warmly too. Thank you so much, guys!
