We rented a place for 9 people for 4 days, but the house was cold. There was no heating, only air conditioning, an electric oven, and an electric bathroom heater. We paid €428 for the house plus a €100 deposit. When it was time to return the deposit, the host said we’d used too much electricity and refused to give it back. What made me angriest was that Booking didn’t say electricity was charged separately. I explained that I’d worked in the hotel business in Rome for years and had never come across this, and that I’d check with Booking. In the end, the host agreed to return €60 of the €100. I left the house very clean and didn’t take the garbage out because it was morning and you can’t disturb people, but he wanted payment for that too. I’d already paid for cleaning and other costs through the Booking price. Sir, please make the details clearer on Booking so people don’t make a mistake when booking with you.

The apartment was large, clean, and even nicer than the photos. It’s in the historic center, close to historic sites, shops, restaurants, and cafes. We had great communication with Stefano, who’s a wonderful man. We’ll definitely come back!
