Be careful with this owner. We booked two nights through agoda. When the man arrived, he called himself an employee, and only later did we find out he was the owner. He asked us to pay, even though we’d already paid agoda. We showed him the payment statement, but he showed us different bills that didn’t match and said he’d look into it. The next day, we returned to find the electricity switched off. After we called, someone came and demanded 91.2, saying agoda hadn’t sent him the money and threatening to call the police if we didn’t pay. We paid and photographed the sheet, hoping to get reimbursed by agoda, but they said the document was worthless. The owner told agoda he hadn’t received any money from us, and we never got ours back. He doesn’t answer messages. We spent two weeks traveling in Sicily and had never met a scammer like this before. The place is near the hospital, with sirens going day and night. I don’t recommend it.

The reservation wasn’t under my name, but I was one of the guests you left stranded. We had confirmation of the booking and payment, plus emails from hostel bookers/ hostel world showing you knew about it and that the mistake was on your side. You behaved badly, both as the person renting the apartment and as a human being. We were outside your apartment for ages in really hot weather, and you wouldn’t even open the wicket. We didn’t hear an apology from you. Anyone would be angry after traveling to another country and paying for an apartment, only for the person responsible not to show up. We’re still waiting for our deposit to be returned.

We were left out on the street in 34 Celsius degree heat, unable to get inside, and had to find another apartment ourselves. The host wouldn’t answer the phone for almost an hour. When he eventually spoke with us, he said he couldn’t accommodate us despite the reservation. He kept insisting that our booking had been cancelled, but the lady from Hostelbookers said it should still be active and couldn’t make sense of what had happened. He didn’t come out to meet us. It was a very stressful situation.

The place was not clean at all, and they asked for an extra 12€ per person for towels. It’s next to the hospital, so it was extremely loud. The entrance is so narrow that you have to fold a wagon to get through.
