We arrived about 2 hours late, and the owner or manager wouldn’t let us stay. They also refused to refund the booking, so they kept the money for two nights. The way we were treated felt criminal. Rude and no help at all.

The breakfast room’s sea view made a spectacular start to the day, and the desserts were a real treat. Marcello was incredibly kind, too. I stayed here several times eight years ago and tried every room except the suite. Each one had its own features, and the cleanliness and location were excellent.

Marcello, the owner, was so hospitable and courteous that the stay was unforgettable. I visited Villa Gilda on August 15, 2018, and was taken by the villa itself, the clean rooms, and the breathtaking view across the Gulf of Mondello. I highly recommend it!
