Zefiro Suites

We knew when we booked that the rooms were on the 3rd floor with no elevator, and even with our 4- and 8-year-old children, it wasn’t a problem. The rooms are new, roomy, and very clean. Our host Sergio was super friendly and gave us lots of useful Palermo tips. B&B Zefiro Suites is in a safe, central, strategic spot, with the main sights only a short walk away.

Really great place, close to lots of interesting spots. The room was nice and clean, and the owners were friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the café around the corner was good. You can hear other guests through the door, especially late at night and early in the morning. Also, be ready for a long staircase up from street level.

The hosts really made the stay. We only spent one night here, but it was a highlight of our trip, and we’d come back in a heartbeat. They seemed to genuinely care about guests and their well-being. They answered our questions quickly throughout booking, even as our list of requests kept growing. We couldn’t find the wifi passkey at first, but it was in the information booklet on the bed. After our 09:30 ferry from Naples, we walked over with our large holiday bag so we could explore Palermo without carrying 20Kg. They’d already agreed to store it before check-in. It was so damn hot, even early in the day in late September, and the hosts saw we were struggling, sat us down, and brought two jugs of cold drinks. They then let us check in early so we could unpack before heading out. After checkout the next day, they kindly stored the bag again. When we came back for it, Sergio spent 15 minutes suggesting things to do in Sicily, about five hours after we’d officially checked out. Thank you Francesca and Sergio for making us feel so cared for. The place itself is clean and modern, with air-con in the communal area, which is essential, plus a coffee machine, nice breakfast options, and a good selection of books. It’s well located for restaurants and near the old town. Our room was spacious and quiet, with a lovely bathroom and excellent shower. The bed was large and comfortable, thick shutters kept the light out, and the air-con worked a treat.

The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was modern, clean, and well equipped, and the sights and good restaurants were a very short walk away.
