Relais Villa Monte Solare Wellness & SPA

The food and dining were superb, and the welcome and service were exemplary. I also loved the spa and treatment centre on site. The mansion, its surroundings, and the views were all fabulous, as was the lovely pool. There’s also beautiful independent accommodation at the bottom of the hill. I loved my stay.

We’ve visited twice for dinner, and every dish was excellent. The restaurant is a real highlight, along with the beautiful spa, which has a steam room, a finish sauna, and a swimming pool. We were lucky enough to have the spa to ourselves on two mornings, which felt special. The hotel sits in a stunning landscape in the green heart of Umbria, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The gardener is clearly doing an amazing job. The rooms are a little outdated, but very clean and typical of Italy. We had an amazing time and definitely want to come back. Thanks to all the staff and chefs for such a special experience.

The Spa Path and pool were such a relaxing surprise. We hadn’t realized what a bonus they’d be before arriving. Breakfast was outstanding, with lots to choose from, including hot dishes, pastries, cakes, juice, prosecco, and tea and coffee served at the table. We also had dinner at the restaurant one evening, and the food, service, attention to detail, and ambience all met or exceeded expectations. The Villa has no lift, but help was always available. Our spacious, comfortable, well-appointed room had a lovely view. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, with panoramic views, and it’s a handy base for exploring Umbria, Tuscany, and especially Lake Trasimeno. Highly recommended.

We had fabulous meals, and every member of the dining team, from the servers to the chefs, was outstanding. The chef went out of his way to make an excellent birthday meal for my spouse. The spa, sauna, and massage therapists were wonderful too. Our room was great, the location was stunning, and the views were incredible. The staff were attentive and made sure our needs were taken care of. I highly recommend this unique boutique hotel if you're after peace, quiet, serenity, and wonderful food.
