Agriturismo La Cala Cottone

I spent a week in one of the Dammusi in June. The farmhouse is well kept and the rooms are spacious, with everything you’d expect in a functional home. The owner even let me pick and use produce from the garden. The sunset views are a highlight, and Cala Cottone is only about a 10-minute walk away.

The owners were so kind and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. We stayed in the Dammuso "U Sarduni," with its lovely outdoor patio. There’s also a swimming pool overlooking the Punta Spadillo lighthouse. Relais Cala Cottone sits not far from Khamma, directly above Cala Cottone, which you can reach by a path inside the Relais. We’ve just finished a wonderful, relaxing week here. A clear choice for anyone after a peaceful break in beautiful Pantelleria. Recommended!

We were five couples of adult friends and rented all the dammusi for our first trip to Pantelleria in July 2024. The island itself was fantastic, with an incredible sea full of colors, and our stay at the La Cala Cottone farmhouse was the other highlight. The dammusi are near the Punta Spadillo lighthouse, in Gadir, and Lago Specchio di Venere, surrounded by nature and Mediterranean plants, vines, olive trees, flowers, and succulents. We rented a scooter at the airport through the farmhouse and used it to tour the small island and reach its beaches and towns. The stay was comfortable and relaxing. Each dammuso has been renovated and is spacious, bright, fresh, colorful, and well furnished and equipped. There’s a bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen, TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a fan. The furnishings are simple and practical, and each apartment has a lovely shaded, furnished terrace where we ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner nearly every day. We were lucky enough to watch spectacular sunrises and sunsets from there. The kitchen is large and equipped with dishes, a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Kitchen, bathroom, and bed linens are included in the rent. There’s also a flower garden and parking. Cala Cottone’s beautiful clear cobalt-blue water is a 10-minute walk away. The other highlight was the hot tub and saltwater pool, both kept immaculately clean and for guests’ exclusive use. The pool and apartment terraces have superb views of the sea and lighthouse, and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. We had a fantastic stay and truly enjoyed ourselves. The owners welcomed us like friends and were always ready to share advice and stories about the island. The reality is even better than the advertising. Our dammuso was a little gem with a spectacular sea view, and we loved the pool and hot tub. Highly recommended.
