We got to spend two nights in this lovely place, and Juliana and Toni were welcoming and attentive. The rooms were spacious, equipped with what we needed, and completely spotless, with simple but tasteful decor. Anyone who loves Brutalist architecture would be in heaven. The pools were clean, pleasant, and refreshing. We’d love to come back soon.

The buildings are beautifully renovated, and it’s a lovely area, but I was disappointed with our stay. The dammuso had no separate living area, so the kitchen and bedroom shared one room. There was no freezer or wifi, and the view from the front door was of a telegraph pole and parked cars. The water in the shared pool wasn’t clear, and neighbours could see into the outdoor space, so it didn’t feel very private. Maybe we just didn’t get the best apartment.

The apartments are all different and have that distinctive Pantelleria feel, set among greenery but still easy to reach. Giuliana was a thoughtful, attentive host who made us feel at home. She also knows the island well and has plenty of experience to share about excursions and other things to do. I highly recommend staying here.

My second stay with Giuliana was even better in one way: the dammuso was lovelier than the first time. Siba is a wonderful district, and the holiday was unforgettable, with lots of walks, some with Giuliana and some on my own, around this extraordinary island.
