The closed underground garage is a real plus, especially with the recent rise in thefts from cars. Parking costs an extra €20 a day, and the spaces are very small, as they often are in Italy. The hotel is centrally placed beside Palazzo della Pilotta and good value for the money. Its classical interior is a little worn, but things were generally okay. Internet was mostly good, though it sometimes fluctuated and slowed right down. There’s no doorman, help with suitcases, or escort to the room. The receptionist was kind, but didn’t seem trained in customer service. In the evenings, many Arab youths gather in front of the neighbouring Palazzo della Pilotta, and they were noisy late into the night. With a building and location like this, I feel there’s plenty of potential being left unused. Maybe this level of quality is simply what works best given the demand. It’s a suitable place to stay if you’re not expecting luxury or high-level service.

I spent two weeks here. The first week the AC worked, but during the second week management shut it off for the entire building even though the rooms were still 25°C. Opening the windows wasn’t an option because of the mosquitoes, so it got very uncomfortable. The rooms are small. Breakfast was nice, and the front desk staff helped with taxis and other services. Still, it calls itself a four-star hotel, while by North American standards I’d put it closer to two stars.

The room felt a bit old, and I was disappointed there wasn’t complimentary water like at other hotels. The staff were very kind and helped with every request.

Clean rooms, a good breakfast, and really friendly staff. The location is nice in the city center, only about five minutes from the train and bus station. A perfect spot for a pleasant stay in Parma.

The place is clean, very central, and has conference rooms and spacious areas. The old-style decor is nice, and breakfast was fine with some variety. It was quiet when I was there. My room was a little cold and noisy, and the bed wasn’t the best. Check-in felt a bit chaotic, but it all worked out.
