The owner was kind, and I appreciate that, but I don't think I'll come back. It's the cheapest place in the area, though with these drawbacks I'd rather have paid more and avoided them. The one real plus is being close to Maggiore Hospital. The apartment is in a 1960s building, and parking is a problem. The three rooms have been turned into guest bedrooms, but nothing has been added: not even a wastebasket or mosquito net, and the bedroom door is old and creaks. There's no electrical outlet in the room apart from the one used by the lamp. The bathroom is the original one from Grandpa's house, with no improvements, and guests from all three rooms share it, which I don't like. The kitchen also smells strongly of onion. It isn't a hotel, and it isn't a B&B since there's no breakfast. Maybe call it "Grandpa's House Free...". I'd give the location 4, the room 2, the amenities 1 only because zero isn't an option, and the price 5.

Honestly, even one star is too generous. This place gives visitors to Parma a bad impression.
The price doesn't match what you get. I haven't seen another B&B where guests have to make their own beds. There's no TV in the room, breakfast isn't included, and there's no walk-in shower. This place just doesn't cut it.
I needed to be near Maggiore Hospital because I had surgery, and the location worked very well. Coop, Lidl, places to eat, and the hospital are all just a short walk away. From the fifth floor there's a lovely view, especially from the room where I slept. The apartment was bright, with beautiful rooms and an excellent kitchen and bathroom. Mr. Lombardi was really kind and friendly. My mother, my friend, and I had a wonderful stay. Thank you for everything.
The apartment had to be shared with families from outside the EU, with three people to a room. There's no internet or even a basic TV for the evening. The rooms were cold and noisy, and the house was dated and nowhere near the historic center. The information was misleading, apparently to get people to book, and they had the POS ready when we arrived. The bed needed making, there were no towels, breakfast wasn't even frugal, and the shower never got hot. The kitchen was unusable and, in my view, dangerous, at least five decades old. The cleaning woman arrived at 10:30, but guests were told to leave the room before 9 in the morning. A rude man sent what I believe was an intimidating WhatsApp message, and could face a lawsuit for refusing to admit serious failures in maintaining the property or to provide basic services and courtesy. This so-called entrepreneur should treat people who pay him better. I posted this review a few days ago, but he got it removed for telling the truth, then contacted me again, no doubt to insult people who felt openly scammed. Be careful, the place is depressing and feels like being trapped in the cramped spaces of a horror film. Professionals should inspect the real condition of the property and revoke his right to gamble with other people's time and money. It feels like a mousetrap.
