Palazzo Le Poste - Suite and Apartments

The Novotel Hotel reception is where you have to collect the key. They demanded a €100 deposit there and promised to return it, but so far I haven't received anything. My emails and messages through the Booking chat have gone unanswered. Avoid staying here, or don't hand over a deposit. I'm asking Palazzo delle Poste and Novotel Hotel Parma again to return my money.

The apartment is new, with big, airy rooms and high ceilings. Close the windows and it's quiet. Everything worked well for my partner and me, from the location, entrance, and lift to the bed, pillows, linens, kitchenette, bathroom, shower, and laundry room. The windows also have inside shutters. One small snag: there's no dishwashing liquid, dishcloth, or sponge. If you want to clean up yourself instead of waiting for the cleaner, bring your own. The apartment is right in the heart of Parma, with everything within walking distance. I'm glad we booked it and highly recommend it.

The only good thing was the location. Our triple room at "Palazzo delle Poste" had been prepared for only two people, with a convertible chair for the third person and no bedding for it. The room also looked nothing like the attractive photos online. It's part of a Novotel apartment complex, where the air conditioner in the courtyard beeped noisily. The Novotel reception was 15 minutes away, and we couldn't reach them by phone because the Italian voicemail was incomprehensible. They offered no immediate discount, only one for a future stay. We can't recommend the place.

Novatel Hotel moved me here. It's a two-story suite with a well-equipped kitchen and a bed that folds away, so it could work nicely for a longer stay. The location is great for the old city, about 2 km from the train station. The keys caused some problems.
