The food was probably our favorite part. Everything was fantastic and local, and I didn’t try a single thing I didn’t love. The drive up into the mountains is amazing too. It’s an extremely remote place, but the accommodations are fantastic and feel very luxurious, with a new heated outdoor pool alongside the indoor pool and spas. For any Americans considering a stay, I couldn’t recommend it more. They don’t get many Americans, so not much English is spoken around the area, but you can get by fine using a translation app on your phone.

We expected to stay three days at Belsoggiorno, then ended up spending the whole week. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the food was the biggest bonus. We had seven excellent dinners and very good breakfasts. It was hard to leave, and we’ll definitely return.

My girlfriend and I stopped for one night on our way home. It’s worth knowing that this is a “Senioren Hotel.” Apart from us, the guests seemed to be mostly Germans aged 60 and over, spending a good part of their lives there. There was nothing wrong with that, but it felt a bit odd, especially in the sauna, where some German pensioners preferred to be naked 😁 The hotel was well equipped, our room was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the food was very good too.

We stayed six nights and were astonished. The hotel has an amazing sauna and fantastic views, and the family running the place were so helpful and kind. Highly recommend it!
