The campsite is so well looked after, and everyone we met was friendly. We had a lovely three days there. I’d booked ahead and asked for a lakeside pitch, and we got a great spot with a fantastic view. The facilities block was spotless, with great showers and piping hot water. I cycled the 60km around the lake and loved it, and there’s lots to do nearby. We also had a meal at the restaurant, which was so good, with great food and wine at a reasonable price. The downside was all the bugs, ants, and mosquitoes. It wasn’t the site’s fault, and they continuously spray natural repellent through a system running around the site, but our van was overrun despite us keeping everything shut.

The restaurant and bar had lovely, affordable food and service. In the morning, coffee and pastries were just what we needed before continuing our journey. My best mate and I stayed one night in the campervan section of Camping Kusaal. First class facilities, and a big thank you to all the staff. David

We were travelling onward and spent one night here in our campervan. The site was very clean, with excellent facilities and stunning views across the lake. The restaurant was fantastic, with plenty of food and drink choices, and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. A great place to visit and stay.

There’s plenty of shade and the pitches are spacious. The staff are especially friendly and helpful. They even offer free bikes if you want to see the nearby city, which is a nice touch.

We’ve stayed at the campsite several times, but this was our first time at the hotel. We treated ourselves to a special holiday and it definitely lived up to it. Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake, and the staff were attentive and friendly. One of them even recognized us from our last camping trip 9 years ago! Breakfasts were great, and we ate several times at the hotel’s restaurant. We’d thoroughly recommend Hotel Kursaal l.
