Agriturismo Aurora

It was okay.

We were within 20 km of the area's main sights, so the location worked well, and the owner and staff were extremely kind. But the cleanliness issues were frustrating. The bathroom mirror was so dirty I couldn't see myself, there was an empty toilet roll behind the toilet brush, and only one roll was supplied, so you'd have to ask for another. Our mini-fridge, which not every room has, was dirty too, with an empty water bottle and melon seeds inside. The bunk bed had no safety guard for children, and there was debris on the bottom of the poorly maintained pool. This agriturismo has a lot of potential, but the owners need to pay more attention to cleaning.

The staff were all very helpful, but the rooms weren't very clean. There was only one French window and no other windows, and the bunk bed had no fall protection. Breakfast was served under a roof that leaked water, and it was a sad meal. The current managers said they'd only been running the place for a few months, as if that excused the major shortcomings they'd found.

Our one-night stay on August 27th was the only good part of the experience. The owner explained that the property had only recently been taken over, but that didn't change how bad things were. It looked abandoned, with debris all around and some roofs torn off. The pool was half empty and being repaired. Our room was dirty and the toilet didn't work. Breakfast was no better: when we asked for a cappuccino, we were told the coffee machine was under repair too. The property looks nothing like the photos on the website, which must be many years old. Absolutely not recommended.
