Borgo La Morra

The garden and pool had a beautiful view, and the setting felt private and peaceful. We spent two nights here, one of the highlights of our driving trip in Italy. Our spacious rooms had tasteful furnishings and had been recently renovated; they were very clean and well kept. Wi-Fi worked well, and the quiet local roads were great for road cycling. The hosts looked after us warmly and were always helpful. We’d love to return, especially if Giovanni’s plans for evening dinner at Borgo La Morra come together, so guests can eat without leaving this lovely place. Highly recommended! Ingrid & Erik

We spent four nights here in August, six of us: two teenagers, Grandma, and the rest of our family. The grounds were lovely and well cared for, and the pool was just right. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities. Manola and Giovanni were responsive and helpful even before we arrived, and did a lot to make us comfortable while we were there. Thanks to them, we hope to return.

The views and scenery were breathtaking, and the clean, spacious rooms, good breakfast, and inviting pool area made this the highlight of our Italy trip. We had such a relaxing stay, with warm, welcoming owners and great hospitality. We’d love to come back. Thomas & Emelie

The owners can point you to a good restaurant or to their excellent wine bar, Enoteca la Morra, about 5 kilometers away. There are also things to do in nearby villages, including Pavullo, while Bologna and Modena are about an hour’s drive away. We had a wonderful stay at Borgo La Morra, which has opened as a bed and breakfast after years of mainly hosting weddings. Our room was beautiful, and we were welcomed and looked after royally. There’s a pool, a whirlpool, and a very good breakfast. Top service, highly recommended.
