Il Piccolo Granaio

There's no shop or trattoria here, so you'll definitely need a vehicle. But if peace and quiet are what you're after, this is a great place. The terrace has a fantastic view, and after staying in lots of places on our trip, I'd say this was one of the best. The apartment and kitchen are very clean and well equipped. The windows have good fly screens, the bed is comfortable, and I could use the dryer as well as the washing machine. Italy was in a heatwave while we were there, so I worried I'd need air conditioning, but it cools down nicely at night.

We'd definitely come back. The owner was kind and helpful, and the place is a little gem surrounded by greenery in a small, somewhat remote village, though it's clearly signposted. There are two well-furnished bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, plus a bright, fully usable kitchen area with dishes, a fridge, and an oven. Both rooms have TVs, and there's even heating for winter.

This small village has just a few dozen residents, making it ideal for a few days of complete relaxation. There aren't any shops close by, so you'll need to go to nearby towns like Pennabilli or Novafeltria, but that's no big issue if a quiet break is what you want. The apartment is lovely, well kept, and furnished with lots of comforts, including Wi-Fi, a fridge with a small freezer, a TV, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Piccolo Granaio has everything you need for a peaceful, pleasant stay. The owners are welcoming and helpful, and the village of Scavolino is easy to get to and surrounded by greenery. A good place to unwind.
