The stairs are quite steep, so take a bit of care on them. Apart from that small point, the service was impeccable. The owner was helpful and kind, and explained everything clearly. The room was immaculate, from the clean floor to the neatly made bed and fresh-smelling sheets. There’s a clever roller shutter on the skylight that makes it easy to control the light. The bathroom is spacious, with a practical, comfortable shower, a whirlpool tub, and a small balcony.

We paid €100 for two nights, and the owner even kept our bags until 5:00 PM after the 10:00 AM checkout. She also let us use the restrooms before we left. We came by train, and the place is handy for the station. From there, a 20-minute walk gets you downtown, to the beach, or to the port. We stayed May 1st and 2nd in mid-season, when the weather wasn’t great. There was no heating, as expected, but the goose-down blanket kept us warm. Our room had its own adjoining bathroom, and we used the kitchen. It felt like a second home. The only small suggestion for the very kind lady would be to dust a little more before guests arrive. Otherwise, everything was fine. I’ve seen other reviews mention the cat. It’s her house, not the lady’s, so be considerate ;-).

We booked two nights for €100 and had rain. We told the owner the attic was NOT HEATED. She said the previous guest, who was German, hadn’t felt cold. We also pointed out the moldy smell and dampness. On the second day she turned on the radiator, which had apparently been on downstairs the whole time. The cat didn’t want the door open. It was hot downstairs, but freezing in our room. We’d asked her NOT TO ENTER and locked our rented room with the key she’d given us. When we came back, she said she’d gone in to switch off the electric heating she had provided.

The attic triple room was roomy and had a large private bathroom. The owner was friendly and helpful, and there was parking nearby. It’s only a short walk to both the town center and the beach. Highly recommended, and I hope to come back soon :)
