B&B Suites Rome & Florence Pescara

We booked through booking.com, but when we arrived nobody let us in or answered the phone. We were left out on the street and had to find somewhere else to stay. I don’t recommend this place at all!

For the €56 we paid, all we got was a bed we never slept in on the night we’d booked, plus baseless accusations from the lady. At 2 a.m. we put the keys in the lock and they broke, so we slept at another property. The lady wasn’t available until 10 the next morning. She never apologized and said we’d used the wrong keys and forced them. Then, to show us how to open the door, she put the correct keys in the lock, and those broke too. The broken key was left stuck in the building’s front door lock. In a private message she blamed us again for damaging the building, even though she had caused the problem herself. We already knew she’d never refund that paltry amount. I at least expected an apology after having to find accommodation at 2 a.m. I wonder how she’d have felt if this had happened to her on holiday. The place is now called Suites Rome. That’s the end of this terrifying episode.

The room was very dirty, the bed was filthy, and the floors were covered in dust. The whole stay was stressful. The owner is an elderly man who was very intrusive. After taking my document and payment, he stayed in the room, trying to get payment in cash instead of through Booking. I was there for two days with my sister. We had to pay for the second day, and when he came knocking, I went out calmly with my card to pay. My sister was changing and naked in the room, so I stepped outside. He pushed me, which upset me. My sister was frightened and came out too, and he pushed her as well to get the door open and enter the room. I can put up with a lot, but not that kind of rudeness, especially when I’d been polite the whole time. The man was rude and a liar. When I asked if that was really how he should behave, he said he’d knocked, which absolutely wasn’t true.

I’m giving one star because that’s the minimum. We paid €70 a night for a B&B, and I’d never go back, even under torture. We booked directly with the person in charge for the same price as online, paid by debit card, and they still tried to charge more. The coffee machine had water and we checked it, but no coffee came out. A bed and breakfast should include breakfast, but I had to buy a croissant or something else at a nearby bar. The owner said there was a 6,000-car parking lot next to the B&B, which isn’t true. There’s paid parking at the station, 580 meters away, and nobody told us about it. I don’t think I saw any milk frothers, and the kitchen knife I used was dirty from the previous guests. Good morning, everyone.
