Gardenia Luxury Room

The front desk service was amazing. It’s very quiet and close to all the shops and places to eat.

Getting in was easy and quick, since they contacted us ahead of time with the entry codes so we could arrive whenever. The suite was nice, bright, on the fourth floor, and had a street-facing balcony. We liked the breakfast room too, and the central location made it easy for the four of us to get around on foot. But cleanliness was a serious problem. It looked like only the sheets had been changed: there were obvious handprints on the entry mirror, dust everywhere, and a used condom under the bed. The clear shower looks out over the whole suite, so think about who you’re sharing with. It’s also open on one side, and water can leak out toward the bed. The bathroom sink leaked too, leaving marks on the floor. Breakfast was ordinary. The only fresh item each day was the croissants they bought especially for us; otherwise there were standard jams and packaged spreads, plus a couple of cakes from the day before. I expected something more fresh each day. The host handled a couple of requests for eggs and toast, but the bread came burnt. At checkout nobody was at reception, so we had to call and wait for someone to arrive.

The room itself is quite nice, but the access instructions and details about the services could be much clearer. They send a code and room name on WhatsApp, but the room is rather hidden. We arrived at midnight and had to rely on guesswork to find it.

The breakfast was the one letdown. I thought it was included, but all we found in the room were cheap croissants and little disposable jams. There was a capsule coffee machine with plenty of capsules, at least. The B&B is close to the center, though the area didn’t feel very lively because it’s near the train station. The place itself is beautiful and modern, with soft colors, white neon lights, clean refined rooms, and a small breakfast area. Recommended for its looks, cleanliness, and convenience.
