We've stayed here regularly over the years and have always had a good experience. Lucia is consistently courteous and helpful. The guesthouse is clean and hygienic, with traditional-style rooms, and its biggest advantage is the position practically in the heart of town, so you can walk everywhere.

It's an ideal base for a weekend in Pescasseroli because of the central location. The room wasn't especially large, but it felt comfortable and welcoming. The landlady was kind and happy to accommodate our needs.

Pensione Prato Rosso is a lovely place right in the heart of Pescasseroli. The rooms are carefully maintained and spotless. It's spread over two floors and has no elevator, but I still highly recommend it.

I've traveled for work for at least 20 years, and this was a frustrating stay. I spent three nights here. The attic room is small and uncomfortable, only really useful as a place to sleep before a day of trekking. Cleanliness was okay, but breakfast fell short and the value for money was poor. The welcome was inattentive, rude, and presumptuous. I usually get along with people wherever I go, but every question seemed to get a version of “stay over there!”: “There's no breakfast, but you can find a pastry shop over there,” “You have to climb up for parking,” and “I don't have time for the rest because I have other things to do.” I find it hard to write more about the rest. I hope this helps.
