Hotel Corona

The kids' club for children 4 and up is included in the rate, which is a real plus for families. We also spent an hour relaxing in the beautiful, fully equipped spa, though it costs extra. The hotel is nicely set between the ski slopes and the center of Pescasseroli, each about 4 minutes away by car. Inside, there’s a spacious lobby with sofas and a fireplace where you can warm up in the afternoon. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty for different tastes and needs, and we enjoyed both dinners we had there. The whole staff were friendly and kind, and the reception team was always available and happy to offer advice. Our experience at the Hotel Corona was very positive. Thank you so much.

Getting to the ski area was easy because the hotel is so close, a great location for anyone who likes skiing. We also found the rooms impeccably clean and well maintained. The cuisine stood out too, with succulent, carefully prepared food that was consistently excellent and satisfying. Staff across the lobby, bar, and dining room were professional, welcoming, kind, and attentive to guests. I had a truly positive stay in every way. They also seem to make an effort to improve year after year. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, good food, and quality service.

The staff were courteous and helpful, easily the best part of our stay. The food at dinner was good, but breakfast felt cramped, with too little space between tables. There were lots of children, which isn’t the hotel’s fault, but guests should have been told about the Carnival event in advance. It went on until midnight and kept us from sleeping. The children also ran, shouted, and made noise at all hours during the rest of the stay, especially in the restaurant, where the atmosphere was chaotic. The spa was disappointing too: just two saunas, a pool, and 7/8 loungers, even though at least twelve people could be there at once, sometimes more. The herbal tea area was just a corner with a hot water boiler and three kinds of infusions, not much of a wellness space. On our last day, other guests were at our assigned table. Rather than move them, we were asked to sit near the entrance, so we missed the lovely view on the only snowy day. The rooms were dated and not very functional, with outlets away from the beds and furnishings that need updating. The property doesn’t meet 4-star standards; as a 3-star, some of these shortcomings might make more sense. Without the kind staff, my rating would be even lower. The classification and many other things need a review.
