The setting is attractive, with lots of greenery, and the place itself is beautiful and nicely decorated. It has potential, but our stay came with a lot of problems. My girlfriend, our large dog, and I chose it after carefully searching Booking.com for somewhere with outdoor space where we could relax with the dog. The booking came to 642 euros for four nights, including tourist tax and all the listed services. Afterward, we were asked to cancel through Booking.com and pay 580 euros by bank transfer. We weren't told that this amount covered accommodation only, so once there, we still had to pay 12 euros in tourist tax for two people, plus pool charges: 5 euros per person per day, or 15 euros per person for the whole stay. After those costs, the discount worked out to just 20 euros. A woman in her 60s greeted us and said our dog had to stay on a leash and couldn't roam freely in the garden. That restriction wasn't mentioned on Booking.com. We also couldn't get an explanation of how the electric stove worked when we asked. In the suite, the slats under the double bed kept slipping out when we sat down, so we had to put them back to avoid sleeping on the wrong side. The electricity was intermittent too. My girlfriend saw the light switch on and off while she was doing the dishes. Booking.com listed checkout as 2:00 PM, but we were hurried out at 10:00 AM because the cleaning staff were arriving. They also charged us an extra 30 euros to clean the room because of the dog. It's a shame, because the grounds are lovely and the place has real potential, but it needs to be managed properly.
