Vila Sejuda

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived at this family-run B&B, and the breakfast was great. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, too. The rooms were spotless, with private outdoor space to relax, and the pool was clean and lovely on a hot day. We also enjoyed sitting in the shade of the olive trees with a drink, or playing boules in the garden. There’s even a cute little swing. Thanks so much for taking such good care of us. We can’t wait to come back!

The owner was so kind and welcoming, and I really enjoyed talking with you and practicing my Italian. Thanks for speaking slowly and being patient with me. The olive oil is the best I’ve tasted in the region, mild and aromatic, with no bitter or scratchy taste. The olives are very good, too. The hotel looks peaceful and relaxing, and we hope to come back and stay. Thank you so much.

Davide and his family were wonderful hosts. Staying in this peaceful, romantic place among the olive trees let me really experience the flavor and history of this beautiful land. I highly recommend it.

The younger brother was kind and put in a lot of effort, but he seemed to be almost the only person covering reception. He’s also the only staff member who speaks English, apart from his partner, who doesn’t work at reception. I think that may be why people say the staff are nice. The organization overall clearly isn’t working, even though the owner is exceptionally nice and does a great job. There seemed to be poor communication among staff, which led to mistakes and confusion. When guests raised problems, they were blamed instead of having their circumstances understood. The residence also has unusual rules that guests are expected to follow without being told about them first. When I complained, five or six family members came out to talk to me. I’d never seen the older man before, and he raised his hand. As a woman surrounded by his male relatives, I felt intimidated. The middle-aged sister also didn’t hesitate to mistreat her younger brother in front of guests, even though he seemed to work more than everyone else. The older brother showed his army ID around to get what he wanted. I’d recommend having someone with you if you need to complain.
