Camping Da Giovanni

I went to spend some time with my nephews after my family booked an apartment for a week. When I joined them at the pool, I was told I couldn't go in the water. The rule was that guests had to ask before using the pool, but it wasn't posted anywhere. Because I hadn't asked, they said I couldn't enter. The way this was handled felt personal, arrogant and unwelcoming, and unfortunately seemed to reflect a clear homophobic approach. I'm a gay cis man, and there was no reason to remove me in front of the kids. I strongly suggest avoiding this place and its activities.

We stayed in one of the apartments, so I can only speak for those. Ours was very clean and had the basics, including a hob but no oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, patio seating and air conditioning. The small site didn't feel too crowded. There were washing machines, a clean toilet and shower block, a cafe/bar, plenty of sunbeds around the two pools and a children's play area. Everything looked clean and inviting. It's about a 20 minute walk from Lidls or the lake, and you can hire a BBQ on site.

We spent seven nights in a trailer, which was really spacious and very clean. The campground is a good size, with two pools, a restaurant and bar, and access to a vineyard. It's dog friendly too. We'd definitely try to come back.

A relaxed, smaller campsite with everything we needed, including a good Lugana from a winery only a few metres away. The team looked after us so well, cheers to them! It's a great base for exploring the south-eastern corner of Lago Di Garda. We could reach both central Peschiera and Sirmione pretty quickly by bike. If you want somewhere less touristy and more laid-back, we found it a better choice than the huge campsites right by the lake. 🤘🏻
