Hotel Bell'Arrivo

We had a really good stay and would come back. The rooms are on the small side, which felt about right for a busy part of Italy, and in September the AC had already been switched off for the heating. It got warm enough that we slept with the balcony door open, then waited for the restaurant and road noise to fade. That was a bit unfamiliar for us suburban folks, but it did feel like an authentic Italian stay. The people made it especially nice. Check-in was easy, the front desk staff were kind and helpful, and Andreo, sorry if I have the spelling wrong, lent us an umbrella for dinner and pointed us toward a couple of our favorite things to do at Peschiera del Garda. Breakfast was great too, and those staff were lovely.

The first impression is quite good: the hotel looks nice, and the room seems modern at first. But there was mold on the wall and water damage on the ceiling. Room service was fine on the nights it came, though it was missed once in our three-night stay. Breakfast let us down. The croissants were the one good part, but there wasn't much variety or much quality. The ham didn't seem properly chilled, the fruit was old, and at least one egg was rotten. It's a pleasant-looking hotel, but the details made the stay disappointing.

The terrace has lovely harbour views, and you can reserve it for breakfast. The hotel is beautiful and close to lots of shops, restaurants and a few beaches, all about an 8-10 minute walk away. Staff were friendly.

The views are really nice, and it makes a great weekend base. It can get a little noisy when there's a crowd outside, and the shower is small, but I felt the price was worth it. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh croissants and fresh red orange juice each day.
