They cancelled my stay, and I have the emails to prove it. They still won’t refund me. They’re thieves!

The owners are really friendly, and breakfast has a good selection. The building is a little worn, though it still feels welcoming, with a comfortable shared lounge and a decent TV. My first-floor room had a very dull view, the bathroom was outside the room, and the TV itself was small. Parking is awkward and the road in is extremely bumpy. For the price, it’s a decent place.

The house was clean, well cared for, and handy for a visit to Collodi. We spent two nights there, eight of us altogether, four adults and four children, including a one-year-old and a two-and-a-half-year-old. The kitchen worked well and had what we needed. With four floors and some fairly high steps, though, it wasn’t ideal with little kids. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend it.

This is a very old, unusual holiday house in a medieval village, but getting there is difficult whether you’re on foot or in a car. The two rooms are on separate floors with very little privacy between them, so they’d be hard to use unless the other guests were already friends. The place wasn’t very clean or well equipped: the sink was dirty, there was a used bar of soap and only four shower gel sachets, and a wasp nest was inside the upstairs mosquito net. We were told there was parking, but there’s none apart from a narrow, bumpy road. Breakfast was just low-quality packaged croissants. Service was well below what I’d expect for €65 for one room and €81 for the other.
