We really liked the location, with lovely Lucca about a 20-minute drive away and shops and a supermarket not far off. The house is in the countryside on a hill, with a nice outdoor sitting area where we could relax in the evenings and enjoy the view. The guest area takes up the entire ground floor and has its own space, while Lucia and her family live upstairs. The house was clean and well kept, with air conditioning in every room and two bathrooms with showers. Our hosts were kind and helpful, and made us feel welcome. The road to the house is very narrow. If another car comes the other way, one of you may have to reverse to the next passing spot. It was very quiet, though, and during our 10-day stay we only had to do that twice. The local drivers were also friendly and always tried to let us through first.

We spent a week here with the family and had a really good time. The apartment felt new, was well maintained, and had everything we could need, right down to dishwasher tablets, a laundry rack, and board games. Its style mixes traditional Italian touches with a modern feel. It’s a ground-floor apartment in the house, with its own entrance and driveway. The setting is very secluded and quiet, among olive groves and vineyards. There’s a grassy lawn and gazebo outside, plus a magnificent view over Pescia from the hillside. You can only reach it by car, and the two-way road is barely wide enough for one vehicle. If you meet another car head-on, one of you will need to back up quite a bit.
