The road there is in rough shape, but passable if you take care. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely stay. The rooms are simple, air conditioned, and comfortable. The pool is gorgeous, and dinner is available in their dining room every evening. It's a peaceful, remote place, but an easy drive into the city, so it makes a good base for visiting Palermo. We'd definitely come back.

We can't wait to return ❤️ One of my favorite moments was walking through the surrounding fields at sunset. We had a lovely aperitivo on the property, then exceptional food full of Sicilian flavors. Breakfast on the cozy terrace overlooking the fields was a slow, peaceful moment we'll remember. Masseria Rosella feels like a traditional baglio, with the comfort and warmth of a family estate that's lovingly run. Set among golden wheat fields near Piana degli Albanesi, it's about 40 minutes from Palermo. We felt immersed in the quiet rhythms of the countryside from the moment we arrived. A wonderful rustic Sicily escape for anyone who loves nature, history, calm open spaces, and warm hospitality.

We enjoyed the friendly, homey atmosphere, and the room was neat. The food was good and breakfast had plenty of choices, though the meat fillet with wine sauce was too acidic and bitter, and hard to digest. We visited in late september, when it was quiet and there weren't many other visitors. The pool was closed then, so we couldn't try it. Wi-fi had some issues sometimes. It's a lovely place very near to palermo. The road might put you off at first, so drive slowly and keep an eye out for the signs. Be careful of animals on the road too, we saw a few cows on the way to the hotel. Bring something long sleeved for the night, as it gets a bit chilly at this altitude. A pleasant, relaxing place away from the crowds.

We stayed from the 9 of July to the 14 of July. The town closest to this farm stay is about 23mins drive. Dinner was a big letdown after the reviews had made us look forward to the restaurant. On the 9 of July, the night we arrived, we had their standard 3 course dinner with fruits and drinks. The antipasti was far too salty, and dishes meant to be warm came out cold. The portions were huge but quality was lacking. Nobody serving us explained what the dishes were, so the meal felt like a school canteen with no interaction. The pasta was nothing special, and the meat was oily and made up of cheap cuts. The fruit was the only part I enjoyed. Our room wasn't very clean, especially the toilet, which badly needs a proper clean or refurbishment. That was a major turnoff, and the bed wasn't comfortable. Internet didn't work in our room, only in common areas. Breakfast was the same standard spread every day, nothing special, though I was glad there were boiled eggs. Some items weren't restocked unless you asked. Swimming caps were required at the pools, but nobody enforced it. Don't waste money buying one, we returned our unused cap and weren't charged.
